Hello everyone,
A super duper belated Happy New Year to you all ♥
I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that it's already 2014, and coming to the end of January too, boy how time flies.. Hopefully you've all had a great, relaxing start to the year and with it comes a big bunch of happiness.
Here in Melbourne we've had an absolute scorcher of a week, with plenty more to come (woo, get excited Melbournians!), which is all fine and good if you love summer like me yet if the heat just isn't your thing i'm sure you and the air-conditioner have probably become great friends. Ideally in this weather me and my family will migrate to the beach for some quality salt water time, and it's always a blast.
These are my ultimate to-go-to beach bag essentials, you'll never ever ever find me without even one of these gems when hitting the sand:
Whats in my beach bag:
Something included in those essentials is some sort of reading material, usually there will be a rogue issue of Elle or Vogue from how ever many months ago, or a good book. So i've listed a couple of summer reads that are completely and utterly beach bag friendly (and also great for under the air-con. times).
-Looking For Alaska by John Green
-It by Alexa Chung
-Revenge Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger (this book is the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, if you've seen the film then there's no major need to read the book to catch on to what happens in the sequel, but as usual it covered more things than the movie)
-The Goddess Guide by Gisele Scanlon
-L.A Candy by Lauren Conrad
And of course having a great CD of fun, boppy summer songs is a must for road trips or just everyday car trips around town can really get someone into the spirit of the happy season ツ This is exactly what I have on my special summer CD ツ It's definitely been on repeat for ages in the car and in the house (much to my siblings delight *not* cough cough)
